We were looking for a case erector when we saw Endoline at the PPMA show. They had a 221 case erector there and we were very impressed with the simplicity of the design and smooth operation of the machine. It also had a small footprint which was ideal for the limited amount of production space we had available. We looked at one other company, but Endoline were always the front runners and got the sale.

ENDOLINE MACHINERY RECEIVES GOVERNMENT EXPORTING AWARD

01 March 2008

Endoline Machinery’s campaign to grow exports has received a boost in the shape of a top award presented to the Bedfordshire based company for their contribution to exporting.

Endoline was one of 23 companies across East Anglia recognised for their achievements by the UK Trade & Industry in a ceremony hosted by Lord Digby Jones, Minister for Trade & Investment. However Endoline, the UK’s leading manufacturer of case erecting, loading and sealing equipment, pipped fellow local companies to the post by scooping the Passport to Export Award in the Bedfordshire category.

Winners were judged to be those who best applied the knowledge and skills they had learnt during the Passport to Export programme – which offers assistance and support to companies developing their business overseas. Joining Passport helped Endoline to move from a company that sold overseas on an ad hoc basis, to an international business with an effective plan to sell to a wide range of targeted countries and sectors. As a result Endoline is now well on the way to achieving its five year target of £1million in export sales.

Managing Director, Tony Hacker, said, "Endoline's experience on the Passport programme has been extremely positive and has resulted in significant growth in its exports. In my opinion the programme succeeds for two key reasons; firstly the fact that it provides a structure within which a sustainable export strategy can be built, rather than it being merely a one-off initiative, promotes consistent growth. Secondly, the advice from the UKTI advisors is aimed at ensuring companies take a holistic approach to becoming 'internationalised' rather than simply helping them to 'sell' to foreign markets."

The Passport to Export Awards are organised by the UK Trade & Industry with the support of East of England International (EEI) who deliver services in the region, and itrade, a network for exporters. In addition to the various category awards, companies in each of the six counties in the region were recognised for their achievements.
