We’ve had the case erector (and a case sealer) for about 4-5 years and it’s the best machine in my factory. It’s very efficient, easy to operate and very simple to change over from one type of case to another. It has saved us the cost of employing 4 operators to do the same job and it’s an extremely reliable machine.

15-18 May 2007, NEC, Birmingham
Hall 4, Stands 4250 and 4251

Endoline Machinery, the UK’s leading manufacturer of end-of-line packaging machines, is strengthening its allegiance with Quin Systems by introducing a new compact case erecting and packing system.

Endoline Machinery and Quin Systems formed a strategic partnership last year to provide a unique complete case packing solution. The combined effect of Quin’s high speed automatic RTheta Casepacker and an Endoline 221 case erecting machine working in tandem offers customers additional options for high-speed case packing in areas where automation may not currently be possible.*

The new system will combine the advantages of these two separate machines while offering a compact solution for use in restricted areas.

Both Tony Hacker, Managing Director of Endoline Machinery, and Mike Webb, Managing Director of Quin Systems will be promoting the new system at this year’s Total Processing and Packaging Show with a view to launch it later in the year.

Tony Hacker comments: “We are delighted to have extended our cooperation with Quin Systems by developing a new machine which will run at 20 cases and 100 picks per minute and is a unique specification for such a compact machine.

Unlike traditional combined machines designed by specialists in either case erecting or case packing, we believe the new system is unique as it will be designed jointly by two of the leading companies in both fields. This results in a system without compromise.”

Fully working systems being showcased in Hall 4, Stands 4250 and 4251 will include the best-selling Endoline 221 case erector, the 310 series ‘pick and place’ robotic case packing machine for low speed applications and the Endoline 602 case sealer. This combination can work together, or individually, to handle a wide variety of products and case styles including those specially designed for shelf ready packaging.

In addition Endoline will be exhibiting the Endoline 734 fully automatic random case taping machine which has recently been bought by United Biscuits. Since its launch two years ago the hugely successful Endoline 734 machine has set new standards in high speed case sealing by incorporating the latest technology to automatically close and seal a fully random size feed of cases at up to 20 cases per minute.

Visitors can also see a working example of the Endoline 102 case former alongside the PS6 semi-automatic tape sealing machine. Developed to complement the company’s existing range of machines, the PS6 combines many of Endoline’s unique design features with costs that are lower than have previously been possible. This semi-automatic case taper is designed to run on continuous size batches of cases and can be adjusted to different sizes in seconds. It is aimed at customers who have less demanding environments and who do not need the flexibility and bespoke design service that is available with Endoline's System range. Together with the type 102 case former it forms a simple yet remarkably effective case packing system which can reduce manual labour and increase efficiency for a minimum investment.

* Visitors will have another opportunity to view Endoline and Quin’s complete case packing solution including the unique high speed RTheta case packer at the Quin Systems stand in Hall 5, Stand number 5221.
