We’ve had the case erector (and a case sealer) for about 4-5 years and it’s the best machine in my factory. It’s very efficient, easy to operate and very simple to change over from one type of case to another. It has saved us the cost of employing 4 operators to do the same job and it’s an extremely reliable machine.

Endoline Machinery, the UK’s leading manufacturer of end-of-line packaging machines, is helping United Biscuits increase their production capacity with the introduction of a second Endoline 734 fully automatic random case taping machine.

As a preferred supplier, the Biggleswade-based packaging machinery manufacturer have been installing United Biscuits’ end of line packaging machines for over 20 years. Until last year United Biscuits had successfully used Endoline 704 machines for their case sealing.

Designed over 20 years ago the 704 is testament to the longevity of Endoline machines. However since it’s launch two years ago the hugely successful Endoline 734 has set new standards in high speed case sealing by incorporating the latest technology to automatically close and seal a fully random size feed of cases at up to 20 cases per minute - further verifying Endoline’s enviable reputation for providing innovative engineering solutions.

Tony Hacker, Managing Director of Endoline Machinery, comments: “We are delighted that United Biscuits have enjoyed such a successful run with our 704 machines. However we are always looking to supply the most productive end-of-line packaging systems to our customers and the 734 can seal 20 random sized boxes per minute – twice the speed of the current 704.”

The Endoline 734 showcased at the Total Processing & Packaging Show is the second to be purchased by United Biscuits following the successful implementation of a first machine last year. A third 734 machine is already on order.
